Hello friends :)
We have had a completely AMAZING week. We started Transform at St Aldhelms on Monday and Revolution at New Covenant on Wednesday, and they both went really really well. We had a big surprise on Tuesday at Our House as the club doubled in size with 15 new kids! Most of them were siblings or friends of kids who already came, which is a huge achievement as it means that the kids from last term really enjoyed it and told their family and friends to come! Between all of our club we had 43 new children, which was incredible!
Even better than the many new kids that we were blessed with was the great atmosphere at the clubs this weeks. The children really enjoyed the games and craft, and were keen to engage in discussion. We had some mind blowing conversations about our topic of the week, Jesus' family - including his direct family with lots of brothers and sisters, his mum and his foster father, and his ancestors including some people who did some pretty bad things. It was amazing to see the children starting to understand that Jesus didn't have a perfect life but a normal life with a normal family and would have struggled with some of the same things we struggle with.
There was a kid who Peter met at church on his first week here. This boy seemed quite angry and everyone and wouldn't join in with the group or even chat to Peter. After the first week he moved away and Peter though he'd never see him again, but he's been praying for him every week. This week he turned up at Revolution! Then we discovered that he's in Mary's class at Holy Trinity! How amazing is that?!
God has blessed us hugely this week and we want to thank everyone who prays for us. We've had a hard couple of weeks planning and preparing (nobody likes being in an office planning instead of having fun with the kids!) but we really feel that it's all paid off. We have seen many miracles this week, and all the glory is God's.
THANK YOU GOD FOR:
That Jesus did have a family like us and understands us and our lives
That we have the honour and priveledge of talking to these kids about you
For all the amazing new kids who came this week
For all the amazing kids who continue to come every week
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
Continued strengthening of relationships within the team
Continued growth of relationships with the kids
That we would be able to say the right things at the right times, with love and wisdom
Thank you!
Love
Hayley, Jenny, Mary and Peter
