Many of the books of the New Testament are letters written to the church in a location: to the church at Corinth, to the saints in Ephesus, to the saints at Phillipi, Corinth, to the church of the Thessalonians.
But more than that, our Lord Jesus himself in Revelation chapters two and three, sends letters to the seven churches that are in Asia, to the angel of the church in Ephesus, the angel of the church in Smyrna, in Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.
